The 177th Episode : My record of the shortest stay at a place
[June, 2009 Macau]
June in 2009, I was suddenly offered to go Ghana and Guinea as an interpreter instead of Mr. OS, who is a famous man from Guinea also in TV. I had been to the African continent to South Africa, but had not been to the western Africa so called Sub-Sahara that is said the world poorest area.
Preparation was immediately begun. Then I'd found that the Yellow Fever vaccination was mandatory for the entry to those countries. The disease is the one that Dr. Hideyo Noguchi was researching. Still now the vaccination is required. And people were allowed to enter 10 days after the inoculation.
I rushed Kobe Customs to take the vaccination and received the evidence. It was of course available at Osaka Customs, where was much closer, but the date was fixed. Their schedule told me I could get it earlier at Kobe than at Osaka, that was why I went to far Kobe.
The schedule, air tickets, etc. were all arranged by the person who offered me this task. He departed first and had business at Macau, where I would meet him up. I arrived at Hong Kong Airport. There was a ferry boat service from Lantau Island, where was Hong Kong airport, to Macau but not good timing. So I once went back to Hong Kong Island (other direction to Macau) and then took another ferry boat to Macau that passed by Lantau Island again. I spent in Macau only for a couple of hours to be introduced a certain business man, and then back to Hong Kong Airport. That was my record of shortest stay at a place, country and/or area.
A midnight flight would carry myself from Hong Kong to Dubai, UAE to transit the flight to Accra, the capital of Ghana.
