The 100th Episode : Foreign country in good security
[June, 1997 Copenhagen, Denmark]
Japan is well known for its good security in the world. Japanese people, who used to that, often take actions in the same way even in foreign countries. It’s danger. They need to pay attention. Even my seniors and acquaintances in the same trading field, who were to know abroad well, have been victimised, that isn’t only one or two.
In a restaurant close to Tivoli, an amusement park, we were for dinner. We were able to take as much salad as we liked. I had a brief case, in which my camera (a little high class one) was. The customer said ‘let’s go to take salad together’. I often see tables with no people but only bags in Japan. I can’t do that abroad. Somebody should be left and to go to take in order.
I said ‘As I have a bag, please go ahead... after you.’ ‘Where do you think we are? Don’t worry ‘cause Copenhagen is, Denmark is in good security.’ Unexpected answer was returned. Is it? I left my bag at the table and went to take salad together. This was the only one action I’ve taken abroad.
Such a country existed besides Japan. I worried a little though...
