The 80th Episode : Prestigious hotel
[June, 1997 Innsbruck, Austria]
I came to Innsbruck, the capital of the Tirol state in the west of Austria. It’s the city of winter sport, where the Olympic winter games were held in 1976 following to Sapporo, Japan. It is surrounded with the Alps and we could see rock mountains covered with snow on the tops in the suburb. At the feet of those mountains green spread on the moderate slant faces. Shacks with red roof were spotted there. Heidi seemed to be about to appear soon.
They held dear old things as the other cities and countries in Europe. The hotel I stayed was located near the Inn bridge that originated the name of this city. The meaning of Innsbruck is ‘the bridge over the Inn river’.
The famous people’s names who stayed at this hotel were sealed on the plate. My room was on the top floor although the 5th floor, that was not so tall because of an old building. It was like a loft with the inclination of the ceiling was the same as the roof. The elegant window frames were very European. White tops of the Alps could be seen through the windows. I wanted be here at leisure without any work.
