I went out to the town next morning. Clean town without garbage. I remember nothing was on the roads and streets but leaves. It was as people said.
Penalty is claimed for throwing garbage, for no flushing in the bathroom (who checks?)… etc. Never go out in T-shirts, must be in shirts with collar. Long hair for men is prohibited, although it had been a little loosen. They have strict rules in Singapore.
Long time ago, the British rock group, Led Zeppelin, was to have a concert in Singapore and arrived at the airport. They were refused to enter the country due to their long hair and obliged to return to UK without getting off the aircraft. It’s a famous anecdote. People knew they had long hair before they arrived!? Or people thought they had cut their hair short before arriving? Mystery.
